What products are included in the Home Fragrance collection?

The collection brings together scented candles, wax melts, reed diffusers, room sprays, incense sticks and cones, fragrance oils, essential oils, fragrance lamps and decorative wax melt and oil burners.

What is the difference between a candle, wax melt and reed diffuser?

A scented candle combines fragrance with the atmosphere of a flame. Wax melts are placed in a suitable warmer, making it easy to change between scents. Reed diffusers gradually fragrance a room without a flame and can remain in place throughout the day.

Which home fragrance should I choose for each room?

This mainly comes down to personal taste. Fresh, clean and citrus room scents are popular for kitchens and hallways, while warm vanilla, amber, spice and woody fragrances can create a cosier living space. Floral and softer fragrances are often chosen for bedrooms and bathrooms.

What do I need to use wax melts?

You will need a wax melt burner or warmer designed for that purpose. Some burners use a tealight, while others are electric. Follow the instructions supplied with your chosen burner and read our guide to using wax melts for more help.

Can I use any fragrance or essential oil in any burner or diffuser?

No. Check the instructions for both the oil and the burner, lamp or diffuser before use. Fragrance oils and essential oils are not always interchangeable, and you should not assume that a home-fragrance oil is suitable for skin, candle making or ingestion.

Are home fragrance products suitable as gifts?

Yes. Candles, reed diffusers, fragrance lamps and decorative burners make thoughtful home fragrance gifts for birthdays, housewarmings, thank-yous and other occasions. Consider the recipient’s preferred scent style and whether they would rather use a flame-free option.

Delivery Information

Standard: Royal Mail Tracked 48, £3.99 to England, Scotland and Wales, usually 3–5 business days.

Express: Royal Mail Tracked 24, £4.99, usually 1–3 business days.

Orders placed before 3pm are usually dispatched the same day. Orders placed after 3pm are usually dispatched the next working day.

Free standard delivery is available on mainland UK orders over £40, although some heavier items may have a surcharge. Customers must select the free delivery option at checkout where applicable.

Ireland delivery is £4.99.

Orders to mail forwarding centres for shipping outside the UK will be cancelled and refunded.

Orders containing Nomination products are sent using a signed-for service.

Orders over £400 are sent via DPD for insurance purposes.

Returns & Refunds

We offer a 30-day return window from the date your item is received.

Items must be unused, unworn, with tags, and in their original packaging. Proof of purchase is required.

Please contact sales@somethingdifferentuk.co.uk before returning any item, as unrequested returns will not be accepted.

If the item is not faulty, the customer is responsible for return postage. Tracked returns are recommended, as we are not liable for parcels lost in transit.

Once your return has been received and inspected, refunds are processed within 2 working days. Please allow up to 10 working days for your bank to show the refund.

Delivery charges are non-refundable unless the item is faulty.

Non-returnable items include sale items, gift cards, earrings for hygiene reasons, and certain perishable, custom, personal care or hazardous goods.

If you would like an exchange, the easiest option is to return the original item and place a new order. Delivery charges will apply to exchanged items.
